Hi you folks. Firstly, let me say I am delighted that everybody had such a nice time at Prescott on Sunday. All credit to Bob Naismith who did a great job in co-ordinating the regions to get everyone together. I run the Speed Championship for the benefit of the club members so I am always very pleased when people come along to watch.
The hard top on my V8S came originally from John Reid at Grantura Engineering - it was originally made for the Tuscan race cars and he had them fabricated by a company in Sweden I believe. The hardtop was too long for the S so Richard Moore at Moore Racing cut it to the right size and then spent many hours trying to make it fit. The main thing in its favour was that the shape of the top of the windscreen is exactly the same size and shape as a Tuscan (they were made at the same time), so at least it fitted at the front - well, when I say fitted... Unfortunately, I don't believe the hard tops are made any more.
In my view, the S shape cars are some of the prettiest that TVR ever made and it's nice to see one or two coming into the Speed Championship now.
We're at Castle Combe on Saturday the 18th October if you fancy a run out, or please come and see us again next year.
