Expect loads of classic stuff in the forthcoming weeks / months. I'm a bit busy this week, so Wim: it's your show!

What I have in store:

The beautifull stuff.

The engine stuff.

The really fast stuff.

The really expensive stuff.

The 'hold your breath'-stuff.

And of course the stories, a bit of history and laptimes.

More soon.

Edit to add porn:

Hell yeah, like I've got nothing to do! wink

Hundreds of pictures and two hours and 45 minutes of video footage to be edited! yikes
But I'll do my best... Most of the footage is imported in iMovie already...
Soon in this theatre...

I'm not that good a photographer, but here are some of my pics:

Saturday

Gilbern GT with it's very proud and friendly owner

The old pit lane

Don't call this Morgan a 'thing'! biggrin It's quicker than you might expect!

Is the owner of this Bentley such a bad driver? Very nice...

You just got to love these pre war cars... Cool if they appear on public roads too! Hard to beat their presence.

Pit stop...

More to follow... Or have a peek here

What an awesome weekend bounce

Video clip of fastest lap in the Cobra More videos to come. smile

Cobra felt great all weekend. Thursday morning testing showed the car was handling well but it was flat as a fart at full throttle - turned out the fuel filter to the carb's secondaries was blocked. In the afternoon the car had found its mojo again ....but there were 120 cars testing at the same time! it was like rush hour and threading through the traffic meant neither Cheng nor I could do better than a 2:51.

For Friday qualifying the Thunder Road guys lined the car up at the head of the queue so I'd get a clear run at the track ....or so we thought. The pit marshals then let some of the other line out first, the quick V8 Morgans. I lined up on the third row on the track ...then spotted another line of qualifiers queued up in the pit lane. I prayed they wouldn't be released before us (they weren't). On cold tyres the Cobra wagged its tail as I took off after the Morgans and got them all passed by the top of the Kemel Straight.

First time lap 2:46, then a 2:44 for Pole and in. Job done. biggrin

At the first corner of the race (La Source) I got dog-to-dog on 2nd gear so Chris Scragg got the better of me....

...until I engaged Hyperspace hehe

After a couple of incidents, the Safety Car missed me and emerged in front of Chris Scragg... I proceeded accordingly until i ended up with my own "safety car"... the Morris Minor

During our pit stop, Chris Scragg got ahead but Cheng hunted him down and regained the lead smile

This shot's blurred, but WTF? - it's caught the moment Cheng and I finally took the chequered flag at Spa.

We were quite pleased wink

Yes you did read the results correctly, Phil & Cheng won Barry's race after many tries, well done!!
They also got awarded drive of the day, which was well deserved.
Did anyone get any photos of me and my son in a white Escort Mexico car 144 in Barry's race and car 44 in the Top Hat race?

Can't believe this:

It's so loud, it wouldn't get the chance to finish a lap at Zandvoort for example...

But maybe that's a bad example, 'cause noise regulations in our crowded country are very strict frown

He was quite a way ahead at the end, 8 seconds I think. We traded places a couple of times up until I went in to change drivers but what with the oil at Les Combes/Malmedy and the safety car I couldn't get into the race properly so not my most enjoyable of weekends on track.

Off track it was as usual excellent with fantastic weather and even better compnay.
