Would you believe it.... walking up the highstreet last week on my own, about 10pm, a Corsa full of chavs drive past and shoot me in the back with what I can only believe was a ballbearing gun!

Hurt quite a bit, and left a nice red bruise even though I was wearing 2 layers. The cheeky fkers. That would have really hurt of it caught my head!

I mananged to get an idea of the end of their reg plate, and I assume they are local'ish. But I can't prove anything, and didn't get the full details of their car.

What would you do if you see them again, or even the car on its own?

Call the police with a description and tell you saw the occupants with what looked like a gun.

Call the local police station saying you have been shot with an air rifle by local scum.

They'll take it seriously.

Especially if you are non white hehe

Carrying a BB gun in public is a big no-no, call the Police, especially if it turns out to be an Airsoft type gun which even looks like the real thing.

Poice is the only option (Unless of course you and some hefty mates fancy hunting them down and getting "medievil" on them biggrin)

My friends brother got caught doing this and he got quite a hefty punishment (large fine and comunity service if i can remember rightly).

If they are stupid enough to hang out of a car with a replica gun shooting at people they deserve all they get.

Well, if I were you I'd be more concerned about learning to think for yourself and maybe after a while you could cautiously move onto actions all on your own. It will be a lengthy process and you should be patient and take one step at a time. After many years the revelation of 'common sense' may come to you; but to be fair a lot of people never get that far and you're starting from way behind.

And why have you only brought this to the internet's attention now? No doubt the bruising will be fading by now..

Call the police now report everything, they most likely will do it again and the next person (or child) could be blinded by it. Total idiots this is just a stepping stone to serious crime

There were at least 4 lads in it, so I don't know how anyone could be pinned for it, that's the problem. But there can't be too many green 5-door corsas with the suffix NMN (or very similar) knocking around where I live.

That was a friday night, and I was flying to the US the next morning. Just back in now, and the red mist has decended again.

Calm down, dear. I thought it might make a nice aside to the usual government/house price thread on here at the mo.

They will do at least the driver - get onto the police and let them deal with it. They will love it!

If they had been caught there and then the armed police may well have been involved. Shame really.

Report it to the Police, the information you have should be enough to them to find it.

Think I probably wouldn't mention I'd been hit by a pellet, just that I'd seen some threatening looking people waving a gun around in the car.

It would be nice to think of them having an armed response team smashing down their door or them being spreadeagled on the floor next to their car next time they go out in it.

If you don't report it these toerags will do it again and the results could even be fatal.

Thanks for the useful advice - I wasn't sure if my patchy details would be deemed a waste of the police's time. I will try to find an open police station near me, which will prove tricky, believe me....
