Im having a stag do between june and august next year dates to be comfirmed.

Im intending on doing abit of a driving thing across europe at the minute trying to incoporate the best driving roads associated with the Top Gear Run not so long ago.

Want to make an event of it so wanted to see if anyone was intrested?

the roads in quesiton were the

Col De Turini
San Bernardino Pass
Davos to Stelvio via Bormio
Stelvio Pass

Would be over a few days with beer thrown in etc.

I know its a bit weird doing this on a forum, but big numbers would make for a spectacular event, we could even do it for charity or something like that.

i know were are not all loaded so i would be arranging it with low cost in mind so more for fuel!

let me know if anyone thinks its a good idea or i should go on my own

may even do a bit of a scumball theme buying a cheepie but the lure of all those tunnels and a V8 may be too much to resist.

I posted on here as i considered those with our types of cars would be the biggest petrol heads about.

unfortauntely abit of a boys only thing at the moment being its my stag but if Col hid you in the boot it might not hurt!

wouldnt be a mad do for those that may be worried. abit of beer and food each night and a major beer for my stag on one night then recovery and then home!

needs lots of organising but i think it would be mega!!!

my friend is looking at hiring a Lamorghini or a Aston at the moment he has more money than sense!!!!!!

The germans are taking a dim view of any group of cars travelling to a common destination , and choosing to call things races even when they are not !

i think the trick will be to keep the final dates secret as well as names etc then they wont be in waiting wanted to get magnetic stickers made though or some way to see all the cars maybe inconspiciously so we could stick together

hehe

You've got me thinking now, because I really didn't know what to do for a stag (at my age!!). I've just been browsing maps and a vague plan involving a nicely-circular route has started forming....

Calais > Millau Viaduct > Monaco > Stelvio Pass > Grossglockner Pass > autobahn vMax session > Nurburgring > Calais.

Around 2200 miles all in and it really does make a nice loop on paper!

It's got to be 4 days minimum even if you cane it all the way. Don't know whether I could get enough time off work. Build in a Bank Hol weekend maybe? And it suggests the last night/stag night/wrecked night could end being at Sabine's place...???

I read recently that she'd opened, or was running, another bar/restaurant but I can;t remember where - I'll have to hunt it out.

I imagine the passes would be open by May, but it's a good point you make, and worth checking when generally they reopen, esp with RWD!

I've also suggested to people that they could meet at the Ring if they don't want to do the whole trip.

Still lots to think about but I'm liking the idea more and more!
