Cerbera Child Seat
Discussion
Hi Nathan,
I have a 3.5yr old and a 6.5yr old and use just the booster cushion wedge thingy for the recaro start seat. Sorry no photos but when i bought my cerb a year ago i went to see a car seat specialist and he reckoned fitting the full seat would actually be more dangerous for the child, not to mention uncomfortable for the front passenger. In his opinion the cerb seats are equally bucket shaped to hold a small child and the booster cushion wedge thingy diverts the seat belt away from childs neck. Having said that my 6.5yr old is about the height that a seat belt adjuster strap should be enough . One point to note though, and know someone posted similiar concerns, was going over some traffic calming measures recently ( not fast ) and rattled my 3.5yr olds head off the front seat belt bolt cover ! A lot of crying but no bruise, phew ! Try explaining that one to social services !
Sorry i cant be more help. Happy motoring when it arrives.

Hi nathan, google: recaro start impact cushion, i payed about £29.99. I was told cerb rear seats were equally supportive as a child seat when fitted with the impact cushion. Basically the cushion diverts the cerb rear belt away from the childs neck and apparently the only thing the bib's are concerned about is the belt cutting into neck on impact. Hope this makes sense.
