Sorry....I cant help, but posts like this, and others crack me up.
It would be more helpful when asking information or advice, to supply the type of car that is being worked on.
Every car is different etc etc etc etc

didnt put any car specific stuff on purpose...
anyone who knows about recycling DPF would know which type by teh 'fooling the ecu' bit
as soon as i said alfa all teh vw guys would think that any technology on an alfa is different if you know what i mean - the vw audi DPF uses teh same type of filter as the alfa - and as such suffers the same problems
