Can anyone recommend a garage/specialist to do an engine swap on a Scoob Type RA for me? I have a newly rebuilt block ready to go in and all or most of the parts such as gaskets but I simply don't have the time (and probably not the talent & def not the patience) to DIY. Ideally, I'd like someone local to me - Sunningdale, Ascot, Bagshot, Camberley, Wokingham, possibly Reading, Farnborough area etc etc. I am not in a particular rush and would be happy to drop the car off and leave it for a few days if that helps. Any recommendations please? cheers Geoff ps Will post in the regional section too, not sure where it fits best, apologies for double post.

In your neck of the woods you should see GRD. They seem to have a very good rep and all i hear is good things about them.

I'm pretty sure they will be able to take your old engine out, swap over the heads and other ancilliaries from it onto the new block, and refit the engine for you...but it won't be cheap as they are specialist Scooby tuners and know exactly what they are doing with it.

However.....If you should by any chance want cheap, go and see Mr. Backstreet Cowboy and he'll do a nice hatchet job on a car/engine he doesn't understand, and it'll probably go bang a few miles down the road.

BTW....even more expensive than GRD would be a Subaru Stealership and you will definately have to sell some organs by the time they've finished!! hehe
