wiring diagram/ignition switch

Good morning,
does anybody know where I can get a wiring diagram for a 350i (86) wedge? And from which car is the ignition-lock/switch? Is it Rover vitesse? And where can I get it?
Why do I ask?: Ignition cuts out during the drive apruptly. Engine dies, no ignition lights on. I have to press the clutch very quickly, turn ignition swith to 0, than again to 2, ignition lighs on, than clutch back and the engine comes back. Any other ideas?

Perhaps battery terminals not tight, check leads to starter motor and earth leads to block.

Don't think it will be the ign barrel but worth looking at the soldered joints and connections in case some has fiddled with them for an alarm / immobaliser.

When I had a similar problem on my 390 it was a poor earth battery to block.

How big is the bunch of keys? Had a similar problem with a TR6 years ago and it turned out to be the ignition switch was being turned off as the detent had worn. Hence car stops with no ignition lights. Took key off the bunch and drove it for another 6 months no problem.

Could also be the ignition relay.
