I need a £2000 loan, pronto. Surely there are people out there in the big bad world that would pop that into my account without wincing or crying and I could pay them back each month for an agreed amount of time so they make money at the end of it and I save on the ridicioulARSE interest rates that a bd company would normally charge me? Your thoughts would be appreciated

What ridiculous interest rates?

Personal loan rates may have gone up a bit, but they're still good value even at 8 or 9%. I wouldn't lend someone my money for that little!

Post a copy of your current credit report on here and we'll assess your risk and make you offers accordingly. . . . . . .

I've been offered interest rates usually around the 20% mark, from banks and mainstream lenders (before you ask)

I'll lend you two grand.

I expect a two hundred quid a week back until it's paid, plus a five hundred quid 'fee'.

Or I take your kneecaps.

HTH.

Did you try offering your banjo and a greasy old cap as collateral?

Borrow from your family, pay them interest.

If your family is too poor to lend you money, rob a bank and then loan to them.

If you have no family, buy a houseplant, become a highly-paid contract killer, but beware teenage girls resembling popular science fiction characters - it'll end in tears.

You're not 20?! In that case, you're a huge risk.
