I bet they arrived in separate cars and told your boss loads of things which could just as easily been communicated via e-mail.

Hypocritical swines.

To be honest

I think it was the HR departments idea..... They are always coming up with usefull things these days.....

Like the partners can say anything about being Enviromentally friendly, the car park is a sea of big Audi's and 4x4's!

HR Departments are generally there to justify their own existence, and for everyone else to ridicule.

What exactly do they do?

Exaclty what i was thinking!!!

Im pretty confident they dont do anything up there... In fact they are probably the most hated in the office.

Even more so than the guy who sits in the corner, refuses to open a window, and will never EVER open the blinds!

Tio be fair to them they all have short skirts and those Pinks shirts which are two sizes too small. So they do have their uses.

gotta love pointless greenwash!

company i work for pumps out well over 30million tonnes of C02 per year but finds it neccesary to send me a booklet detailing how i can help 'do my bit' for the environment by not wasting paper or using too much electricity.

i especially like the fact they posted this out to every one of the 50,000 employees, rather than the more environmentally friendly office handout or email!

Absolutely. I spend a week negotiating a deal for a private jet for a certain CEO, the same week as he decalred it "envornment week" thorughout the firm.

I think I should be an Environmental Auditor, I could walk round the office telling people to recycle and turn off their computers before they go home.

They are there to forget to tell people when new starters are due to arrive and to make any disciplinary actions a tortuous vile procedure for both sides.
