After ordering about £500 worth of stuff from CRC a while back and having to wait 6 weeks for it to turn up, I decided to give them another go. Especially as I have a £10 CRC gift voucher to use.

To my absolute disappointment, CRC had pretty much everything out of stock. Every item I chose (tyres, mud guards, camelbak, helmet, etc....), wasn't available!

What's going on there? They used to be brilliant. Lately, they're absolutely crap!

Victim of own success I guess..
I see them advertise in almost all foreign magazines, so they have most likely gotten too big to cope.

I used Merlin the other day... next day arrival... but not much help if you have a CRC gift voucher

I've just used wiggle and merlin this week, both very quick delivery. Ordered on sunday, delivered this morning. Only problem I had was merlin sending the wrong item! I ordered a set of black Crank Bros Smarty pedals, they sent the grey OEM ones instead. Just happens I think they look OK on my bike, so I'll let them off!

I find a lot of the stuff I want is often out of stock on CRC. Last week I put an order together and half the stuff was out, but to be fair I only had to wait a few days before everything was back in again. Also, I've noticed, when they put a date up of when something will be back in stock, it can sometimes be in well before that date (like a month before!) so if something I want is out, I just check back every couple of days and it generally comes in quite quickly. Or go elsewhere, but some of the stuff I buy isn't available from any of the other places.

Probably a combination of the after-effects of the warehouse flood and the transition from '08 to '09 products.

Yeah I noticed that as well, that most items (read all the items I actually wanted) appeared out of stock.

Some of the bits I need, I ordered from Wiggle. Looks like I'll have to wait for my SRAM X-9 jockey wheel replacements......unless.......anyone?

Have they finished moving warehouses? Or were they building a second one?

They've been ace for me for years, last two orders were either missing bits or late.

Oh well... at least their sales manager (or someone high up) has a huge amount of taste when it comes to bikes...

I don't know about 'huge', I mean its running a Manipoo Revox rear shock, and Gayes (sorry, Hayes) brakes!

That thing should at least have a Double Barrel on it & some Formula bling!

But then that probably wouldn't go down too well with the CRC/Hotlines bigwigs biggrin

True... guess he's got to push the stuff he's told to... Manipoo etc.

The frame is insanely cool though. With some white 40s, new Saint etc it would rock.

From the looks of their place, they were doing all of the above and then the flood came for good measure!
