They were a one off, lurking at the back of someones forgotten stuff! he had some 350mm discs on bells too, but i think they would've been silly powerful so resisted the temptation!

Yep, you should!!!

They will transform the car on track. You will even notice the difference on the road.

I have got 6 pots and 350mm discs and they feel really solid and tireless.

I have never understood 6 pots on a Cerb.

You have easily emough braking force to lock the fronts up even on slicks. The 4 pots a very progressive. Also the 4 pots are a lot lighter.

Am i missing somthing?

I don't really know what that means to be honest.

As Yellow has said the standard car will lock its wheels and so will mine. However, what I have noticed is that you get no fade whatsoever, not even a squeak out of the brakes, even on a trackday.

My old 4.2 'warped' (or whatever you want to call it) its front discs twice and I put it down to smaller disc = less heat capacity.

Your point about brake fade is also intresting. As with the correct fluid/pads/discs etc even during a race i finish with as good bakes as when the race started and there certainly used to the full!!

Snap, They look the same as mine, you should have got the discs though. I just paid £550 for a set of 356mm discs and nearly £200 for the pads eek

Mine seem to stop the car extremely well......in the garage laugh

Brembo 6000 for the fluid. Wouldnt have thought you need to go this high on a road car.

330mm AP discs. The same as what Julian at TCS supplies. He does a very good upgrade kit.

Hawk racing GT pads. As used on the oreca vipers im told.... Forgot the exact compound but i have it written down at home. Not sure if these would be ok for road use though?? Cant see why not to be honest.

The cerb brakes dont vent very well so i would recomend trying to get more air to them. Not necessary full race car ducting but somthing attached to the front tie rod to guide the air onto the calipers can work.

Great brakes, they should make a lot of difference. Stopping power is very important these days.

You generally want a nice progressive brake action, over-braked means they are generally off or on. Modern cars are generally over-braked because they are over-servo'd, my Audi A3 is terrible for 'digital' brakes.

Hawk pads are very abrasive! I had an instance of brake vibration on my last car and was advised to try these pads for a spot of on axle skimming. Drove around for about 20-30 mins braking gently and when i put my old pads back all vibration had gone. Was also advised to take care as the brake dust is pretty bad for the paintwork

To be fair my old cerb didn't suffer from brake fade either, just an awful vibration when braking that really upset the handling.
This was usually after a hard track day and, as you have mentioned, ducting may well have helped.
