do these work or are they a total waste of money?

i get really poor reception unless my phone is propped up against the window. makes it a real ball ache to send/recieve texts and almost impossible to hold a conversation when it rings.

so do mobile phone signal boosters actually work?
if so which are the best?

thanks,
Nick.

If they worked, then why are the phone makers not building them into the phones????

If its in your house, buy a car kit and an external aerial that is mounted on the window where the phone works well.

Done this years ago for a chap, large alloy sheet on his garage roof with a bodymount a CARK-91 carkit and fitted the car kit in his offic so he could make and receive calls . worked a treat

Wouldnt have a clue , i would estimate around £250 , was different to installing the phone kit in the chaps car , you will need a mobile with a physical ariel connection though , radiating antenas are pretty much pointless and give little gain .

If you're on a contract then complain to your service provider about reception. It may be that they'll sort out a car kit solution for you. Otherwise have a look through the local yellow pages for car audio installers, most will be able to sort something for you at not too much cost.
