Anyone watching this?

Seems to be doing a good job - talking of chucking out a lot of the petty paperwork that Nu Labia have bought in, cutting income tax by 3% and building high speed rail networks to link all major cities amongst others. Talking of the government providing the infrastructure to enable businesses to flourish nationwide.

And just mentioned abolishing a lot of MP perks like the John Lewis list etc.

Be interesting to see what the BBC make of it...

because I can only listen to the BBC, I know full well there was a Labour Party conference last week, as that's all that was on the news - but it's been less apparent that the Tories have had a conference...

Via welfare reform perhaps, and also getting rid of any civil service 'jobs', that serve absolutely no purpose but to hinder and restrict economic growth the private sector net contributors.

I like the guy, albeit he won't alieviate the motorists pain that much (although he will freeze fuel duty rising with petrol prices apparently) he does seem to hate the welfare system, get people in jobs, if they turn them down, they don't get any money...simple stuff, eases the tax burden on 'us' massively.

Getting rid of those not worthy of benefits has to be a very effective way to raise money for spending elsewhere.

To be fair, out of a massive bunch of gayers, he's not the worst, therefore i'll be voting for him, although i'd rather vote Boris Johnson for PM.

Anything is better than voting for that nobber GB

I agree entirely.

16 year old pregnant single mother.

Gets house, food, clothes etc etc - cost to tax payer? I would guess £30k +?

Would you let your daughter live on the street with a newborn? No normal parent would. No need to provide all these fancy houses. My father in law lived in a 2 up 2 down with 2 sisters, mum, dad and a grandparent, he's hardly ruined from it.

Declaration of War on 'dumbing down' and 'all must win prizes' in education.

Substantial Welfare Reform.

Bonfire of red tape.

And some very subtle just precision attacks on the government.

Really well delivered speech, developing into a great communicator maybe one day as good as Reagan.
