I use Photobucket. I joined them a while back, have some sort of premium account, but all you do is open an account and upload your stuff. Then you send links to people.

Several photographers I'd guess - I normally get 4-6Gb per wedding.

Yah, but that's RAW, no? Which wouldn't be any use online. And given the request for a photo hosting site in the first place, I'd hazard a guess the OP wouldn't be using owt but jpgs anyway.

Flickr would be my usual answer, but the only way people could upload to the same set would be if you shared the login details with everyone.

Remember to renew it or take off everything you need though, the Pro is unlimited, the standard (which you'll go back to if you dont renew) is an amount per month. Dont know if they'll roll over whats already uploaded or not, better safe than sorry and all that

They must be HUGE pictures then. 20 gigs would be about 100 million jpgs at 800x600 or so.

yes - well maybe not quite that many...

(picks a sample directory of photos)

83 jpegs at 1365x2048 = 27 megs. Quality of these photos is "count the hairs" on a head and shoulders portrait printed on A4 photo paper.

On which basis 20,000 megs = 61481 jpegs.

That is still one fk of a lot of photos for one wedding...

Flickr will do all of that. You'll have to pay for a year's sub (it ain't much) to upload 20 gigs, but all your friends and family can have their own limited accounts for nowt, and you can share/chat/etc, its all dead simple.

Photobucket gives your 25gb for free to upload each month. It has a bulk uploader and is really simple to use.

I have no computer skills beyond the basics but I have found photobucket a cinch to use. I post loads of photos on threads here, it's a no brainer.

(as are most of my photo posts on PH. smile )

A standard for-screen resolution jpg at 800x600 is about 200k. I didn't bother with 1024 etc, just rounded it biggrin
