is it really possible for my car to tell me this? how do i go about it?
Go into your satchel and pull out your crystal ball, that will help. However if you dont have a crystal ball then some more information on what car you have and if it has the capability to tell you MPG, might actually help, but not always. How long is that piece of string that i cant see from here?

nothing to push on the end of my wiper stalk. but im pretty sure it can display the range, ive heard of people doing it on even older VW's
Those would be the older VW's with trip computers that give you this information. If there's no rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk, there's nothing to scroll through therefore you have a boggo trip computer therefore it won't tell you the range.

is it possible to retrofit this new wiper stalk, and then also put in a highline computer? what other things can be programmed on the car?
Don't bother, my Audi can tell me all this sort of gumpf - I enthusiastically flicked through them all probably for at least a couple of days of driving, now it just sits there on whatever it's been on since last time I knocked the stalk. miles of fuel remaining is one of the most useless as it depends entirely on your driving style, which isn't going to be the same for a whole tank, or even a part of a tank.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
