Crankset. which?

I have a '05 Kona Stinky, it currently has TruVativ Hussefelt DH on it. it could do with new BB.
I also got old profile Racing cranks with bottom bracket. along with spider (the middle thingy that sit between crank arm, and chain ring) from my old BMX.
Is it worth upgrading to profile crank?
, so I can get new bottom bracket cups/bearing. (bmx has big US style BB, MTB has much smaller euro style BB)
