You're generally healthy with a reasonable diet. So they're not really necessary are they? I have started taking Glucosamine Sulphate (skin slightly spotty), Zinc (good for guys apparently), and a Vit C (getting colder).

Placebo, or worth taking?

Depends on the vitamin/mineral. If your diet is very restricted and you know for a fact you are missing certain vitamins, then it cant hurt to take a supplement.

Berocca for the morning after a good piss up seems to help and turn your pee bright orange! I don't think they would be of any benefit daily as long as you eat well enough.

If you think your diet is lacking something, why not eat more of the foods that contain what ever it is you believe you're lacking? If you have a varied and healthy diet, any deficiencies are likely to be temporary anyway (unless of course there is an underlying condition then you'd [obviously] have consulted with your GP rather than self-"medicating" with supplements). Read this the other day - food for thought (pun intended) smile

I tried taking Pharmaton (Multivitamins with Ginseng, claim to provide "relief from daily fatigue, tiredness, exhaustion through stress").

They had no noticeable effect except to make me feel very nauseous.
