I don't think this is a repost, but:

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/skynews/20081002/tuk-cart...

Talking about the banning of cartoon characters (Tony the Tiger, for example) as they are 'adding' to the child obesity problem.

Its getting really really silly now! What a strange world we live in!

The real "cartoon villains" responsible for childhood obesity are the never-ending streams of stories promising either a knife or a paedophile if you dare step out the front door.

Aren't these the same people that put higher octane fuel in a 1.6 Focus and then said that it was a useless product as it didn't give any performance increase?

Parents are responsible for childhood obesity, and should be held accountable, in some cases it must be child cruelty.

If you feed little Jonny with nothing but cheap bread, cakes, prepacked dinners, and MacDonald's, and then let him sit in front of the TV all day long, then little Jonny will soon become big fat Jonny. Proper food, running around (go for a family walk, play football, ride a bike), and minimise junk food and Jonny should be OK...

Errr... doesn't breakfast cereal provide tons of vitamins & minerals for kids?

It's very, very simple - have a balanced diet and go do stuff instead of sitting on one's arse.

I ate these breakfast cereals by the tonne when I was a kid, and didnt turn into an obese mess. Maybe its because I spent most of my time playing football or running around outside (obviously this was before the mass invasion of paedophiles that happened around 1999 ish)

hehe I laughed myself when I read the report.

How about using a car that the fuel was designed for. You know, something with performance?? Maybe??
