Does anyone know how to change the engine speed input solenoid on a Trajet. A chap at work has one and it can drive for week without problem then starts to play up for no reason. The fault code reader at a local indie tells that the engine speed input solenoid is not reading correctly. Said indie is not willing to work on the car and sugests going to a dealer. Could it be something as simple as a loose connection.
Thanks in advance

Never heard of a sensor called that. Engines do have a speed sensor more commoly called a crankshaft sensor, which is located by the flywheel. If its auto then would have a input speed sensor, which just screws into the side of the transmission.

Might be worth getting the correct part identified first, as the above is nonsense.

Perhaps its the crank sensor....which could be termed engine speed sensor.

Depends where it is, and how easy it is to get at.

Not familiar with those cars, but wouldnt expect it to be that difficult. But just dont know. It could be located somewhere easy, or tucked stupidly in behind the timing cover in which case it'll take a lot of work to get at.
