Decent car audio firm
Discussion
No. Do it yourself, it's the only way. The firm mentioned here wanted something ridiculous to do any work on my chim. It was a long time ago but £500 just to fit head unit and changer springs to mind. They may have more experience now but seemed clueless, when pressed, about installs in TVRs even though they claimed to have done loads.

Their a specialist car audio business and hold contracts with the majority of the main dealers and also Northumbria Police for aftermarket audio and handsfree etc etc.
Also shop on the net for prices first and factor in installation prices. Fitting a headunit is very simple and will only take minutes to fit so dont let anywhere charge you stupid prices. Autosounds wanted £25 to plug my head unit in even if I bought it off them.
(Turners designed and installed an Alpine audio visual setup for a friend costing about £5000 and at that price didnt even amplify the component speakers so overall it sounded crap.)

Bass Mechanix in the Newburn Riverside, near B&Q. Quality without a high price tag. Used by fast car magazine.
Is that a good or a bad thing, I can't work it out.

Yeh I used Monty at TFG a few years ago to install a system also know plenty of people who have gone there. Definately recommend. Wasn't too keen on Autosounds personally. Like I've said in the past I wouldn't trust any of them up here, although fitters do change. The only experience I have of TFG was years ago when they were stuffed in a corner of a load of tat selling lower end stuff. Don't know what they sell now though.
I've had work done by Turners, Autosounds and Car Audio and never really been 100% happy, so god knows what they would do to a TVR. Do it yourself, it's not hard honest.
