I had to replace all the relays on my fusebox after a four foot long wooden post decided to enter my rear wheel arch and leave through the rear light via the relays. I checked all the new relays and the fuses. With battery current but no live ignition, the following fuses are not live: 1, engine fan; 5, starter solenoid; 7 8 and 9; 12, engine ECU, immobiliser, injectors; 15; 16, ignition coils; 17 and 18. If I insert the plastic key into the slot then press the black ignition button, nothing happens. I presume the immobiliser is shutting things down but I don't know. Is there an expert on PH who can advise me what to do (other than a can of petrol and a box of matches!!).

Cant help you with the problems, but how did a 4ft post make its way through your car?

Very easy! Spin the car at 80 mph through 100 foot of fence at a sprint event.

I may be asking the obvious, but did you pull the fuse box out and check for damage in the mares nest of wires behind it?
