993 GT3 airbox question
Discussion
Not sure about GT3 airbox. Have seen 993s with the 'Cup airbox' I think it's called, which is just an airbox with cut outs in it for more airflow and a shiny intake. Difference in power is negligible, you get a bit more induction noise, but as Paul Daniels would say, not a lot.
As far as mods go, changing the exhaust releases the 911 character from a 993. Chip and filter are fine as sensible and cheapish mods at the same time, but airbox makes no massive difference in isolation.

Brian, I have the OE Porsche "Motorsound" airbox retro-fitted to my 993 C2. I also have the K&N filter. The difference over standard the combination is huge (in induction noise terms) I might be daft, but the car seems to rev much more freely in the upper range, and it sounds great.
Unfortunatly, that is it all it is! Alas, I think no performance gains with these mods.
In support, a freind of mine went slightly further and fitted a cup airbox and K&N filter to his `96 993 C4 and he raves about it. Yet again though, I think its all noise and no ooomph!
