Now obviously, given the wide age range of PH inmates, some will complain of being old when the youngsters talk about programmes of their youth, but we'll just have to get over that.

So what programmes left a great, scary, exciting, worrying or other mark on you? If you could petition the BBC* to bring back one programme so you could watch it again, what would it be?

I'll kick off.
In the late seventies there was a drama series for children on BBC1. It was about an illness which had 'infected' the country and which manifested itself as a hatred for anything and everything electrical. People smashed up TVs and cars and all ended up abandoning towns and taking their few (non-electrical) worldly goods on carts and prams out into the countryside.

Was quite exciting - for the young chap that I was! Cannot recall the name of the programme at all. Would love to see it again though!

What's your favourite TV memory?

Bagpuss then later Dangermouse. There was also a cartoon version of The Odyssey which sticks in my mind as being good.

Isn't this happening now as a result of Gordon Brown's tax policies ?
