Hi Guys

I have been looking at getting the EOS 450, Jessops have a twin lens bundle for £579: http://www.jessops.com/Store/c481/1-136-481/Home/C...

Would I be better to get the basic set-up with the 18-55mm lens then choose another lens which suits my needs more or is the Tamron in the package above ok?

I will be using the camera for motorsport & aviation photography mainly.

Thanks from a newbie!

The only advice I can give is to not use Jessops really - they are rather expensive! Work out what lenses you want and look here to compare prices:

The tamron lens Jessops throw in is a great lens for the money. Pretty sharp shots and excellent build quality - metal mounts etc. For 100 big ones you can't go too wrong.

I got the same deal from Jessops the other week, principally as I could go pick it up the same day and I was a touch impatient at the time.
Can't fault the Tamron lense really, looks and feels solid enough, and seems to take a decent picture.

Oh, and don't forget, you get £50 cash-back from Canon on the 450D.

I'd see how willing they would be to price-match to a well known retailer like warehouseexpress.com smile

Cashback offer has been extended until Jan 09...

I got mine including the 18-55 lens for £417, then £50 back for the cashback!

I got this by popping into the nice Dixons tax free shop in Manchester airport on my way home from Liverpool...(internal flight).

I then got myself the 55-250 canon E-FS lens for £180 squids, so total pack is £560 !

Love the camera its cracking.
