It's come to that time again when I need to buy new front tyres for the Chimaera. In one of those moments looking into space, I thought should I upgrade to 16" front wheels from the standard 15".

I'm undesided as to if I like the look of the larger front wheels or not. I've wanted to upgrade all the wheels, 16" front 17" rear or even bigger but not sure about 16" all reound.

Anyone have any picures to help me decide?

If you look on my profile, my old Chimaera had 17" Speedlines all round.

I changed my 2000 Chim to 16" all round like the current spec Chims. Personally I do not like the look of the original Chim 5 spoke wheels so I opted for the Griff 7 spoke 16" wheels all round with:

225/45ZR16 F
245/45ZR16 R

When the rears go I will go back to 225/50ZR16 as I think the larger tyre has compromised the ride and having only a 400 the larger tyre is not really needed anyway. The only downside is that you have to fit rack stops which cuts down the turning circle quite a bit. There is a picture in my profile but it does not look much different to any other 500.

16" F, 17" R, 320mm AP brake set up front and 345mm large disk conv. rear 15mm spacers needed on front with the BK Racing items to clear callipers.
