e class diesel fuel line problem??? help
Discussion
Bit of a long shot but here goes
The fuel line off injector rail fell off when I was reattaching it. It was leaking fuel. Trouble is I have reconnected the pipe at the end of the injector rail, however the other end came loose and I cannot for life of me find where it goes!!! its driving me insane.
Its a rubber pipe about 12 inches long.
does anyone know off hand where it goes or would someone be kind enough to take their cover off and photo it for me. I'll paypal you a crate of lager if you can... please
Its a bit of an emergemcy cos I'm supposed to be trading it in tomorrow and I can't drive it because when it runs the pipe is returning diesel into the engine
thanks in advance for any help

I assume you mean the low pressure return pipe that links all the injectors together as opposed to the high pressure metal pipes and that you have a common rail system.
the last pipe usually goes to the return side of the IMV valve on the back of the pump.
The surplus fuel passes through a venturi arangment and the lower pressure created is used to draw off the overspill from the small rubber pipes back to the tank return line.
Also
IF YOU REMOVE OR EVEN NEED TO TIGHTEN A METAL PIPE, REPLACE IT!!!
They are not reuseable athere are horror stories aboutthe consequences of even tightening up a weeping pipe.
