Fleet of griters on M1 today

Anyone know why there was a fleet on the A1 M1 link road today

Do they store them somewhere over summer and get em out ready for winter?

Talking to someone today said had been a flurry of snow on the tops over Bradford.

I don't know the official reasons, but given that when I arrived home very early this morning, my car was heavily frosted over and the taxi that carried me safely home, was registering an ice warning on the dashboard and it was already at 2 degrees

Some friends of mine have just come back from a wet weekend in Silverstone
and claim it was -4 degrees on Friday night
and not much better for the rest of the time there
It only improved as they came back up the M1
