Apologies in advance as I know this was discussed last week, but I can't find the thread frown

I've stuck my CV on Monster, but can some of you experts point me towards a better selection of online job search sites please.

I'm not sure whether online is the way forward for me, but it's worth a try along with the head hunters that I've dealt with before.

Thanks in advance,

NL

Ring up the agencies rather than waiting for Monster/Jobsite/CWJobs/etc to do their thing.

Are there industry-specific sites? What kind of work do you want?

It would help to know what line of business you're in.

Hairdressers weekly will be great for some, but for those that aren't hairdressers its up there with chocolate teapots.

Sorry... not enough info.

I'm been in EMEA sales for 15 years in the IT and telecoms industry. Currently GM of an internet services firm, but core skills are channel sales and business development across EMEA. Most of my experience has been in taking tech products and solutions into territories where they've never been and establishing sales channels and opening doors at target customers.

Thanks,

NL

Then take Taita's list and add jobsearch to it and you'll have most bases covered, though for electronic design its rare that I find anything on the other sites that isn't covered jobserve.

Always phone up the agent with a few questions about the job before sending your CV off. That way you'll know whether they are just CV harvesting.

Yup, these are the 4 to use.

Just remember that a lot of agencies are useless. When you see a job you like, ring the agency and hound them into giving all the information before deciding if you want to apply. Don't rely on posting your CV and having them come running. Search every day for multiple keywords relating to what you want to do.
