T440 Grille

They are a great alternative to the cheesegrater grille and at a sensible price.

I think i prefer the T2 conversion with splitter like this minus the grill lights.



They do like quite similar though.

I love the T440 front .. if you want to keep your money going to a respected pistonheader you might consider getting in touch with plasticman who does this sort of thing very well

I have heard about Plastic man, but Ryan who is making these is ex-Marcos design and development and was their until the bitter end. He at Marcos (UNDER DAMAIN MCTAGART ex TVR)helped design the TSO, make the pre-production prototype, made production moulds, and helped build the 6 production cars before it went bust.

I would say he more than has the skills to do one off items and is also an avid pistonheader, his name is columbo on here

Have a look at the gallery on his website and you will see a little of the work he has done

he is also desparate to build a speed 12 if he could get hold of any of the moulds/panels, and trust me it wouldn't take him long!

I doubt he would charge that much depending on what colouyr you want, give him a call or send him an email. He's respraying my car at a reasonable price.

I trust Ryan, he knows what he is doing when it comes to making one-off's or reparing fiberglass.

He is doing some bespoke pieces for Candy and I won't let just anyone touch her due to a) her uniqueness and b) the paint job.

He has his own TVR now and is doing work to that, I belive - all being well - that should be completed in the New Year and will be shown at events, its not going to be like the Blue T350 or the Carisma cerb though.

Dont think the final spec has been decided, I do know there will be subtle carbon pieces involved.

Will give Ryan a nudge and find out, but like most men, the plans will probably change next week.

I've got one of these on my Tuscan ?

Looks great although it's not as simple to fit as I'd imagined. Also, it's not designed for high speed runs, as it snapped the mountings at about 160mph on the way to the Nurburgring a couple of years ago.

I've uprated it now with some additional brackets, so all in all a really good buy IMHO

It does depend on who's made it though, and how thick the glass is in that area. I have revised this with the new ones!

I recently bought a new cheesegrater for aout 250 and with paint etc I think it cost me about 600 quid in total.
I definitely would have considered this option if I had seen it before.
Does it simply locate on the same bolts as the cheesegrater ??

Unfortunately I cant afford to buy the alternative. (unless I sell my cheesegrater ?)

FOR SALE;- one high speed cheesegrater, low mileage, carefull owner....etc. etc.

True - mine's thinner than the standerd cheese grater, although they do look fantastic

im not usually a after market parts fan, but that really is a nice design! top work :-)
