What's with all the question marks?

They seem to be appearing in everyones profiles and on my stuff near the my profile, my mates etc.

It's like <div> the mods add one each time you say something stupid.
</div> is when you reach 10 <div>s

They're not the traditional ? but more like a wingdings character - a black square (diamond maybe?) with a white question mark in it. They seem to appear where there would normally be another punctuation mark, most commonly an apostrophe. I see them from time to time too. I'll try and grab a screenshot next time.

Doug, that is exactly what I was seeing, on the same places. Not doing it now

This happens when the browser can't choose the correct character (from it's stored collection) for that specific letter, symbol etc. It then replaces it with the ? mark as a backup.

What browser are you using?

I have tried on both browsers and don't see the ? marks that you show in the image above. Though the space where these are put are where there isn't any special text on the page. In fact it is just a blank.

Is it possible to send me the source of the page and I will have a look what is going on underneath?
