19" rims

Guys, I've tried searching but not found any old thread - please pm me if you know of one, so I can delete this thread ..........

Anyway, my questions ... so, ignoring cost:-

1. Is it possible to fit 19" rims with a lower profile tyre?
2. Would the bodywork need to be altered even though the rolling radius is the same?
3. Is there any space under the arches (front and/or rear) for an extra inch or half-inch width in the rims?

Why would you want to fit a 19" wheel + tyre combo? If anything the wheels are already to large and from an improved performance point of view you may even do better going down to a 17" combo.

my 10 year old son tells me it's the look on the "very" low profile - he gets the executive decisions and I get the wallet out.

this is for us to be more a lesson in building the car rather than racing it everywhere once it is built.

we will build a gtr for that afterwards!
