OCTOBER STAFFS/SHROPS PH MEET - MONDAY 13TH

When: MONDAY 13TH OCTOBER

WHERE: The Lamb, Edgemond, Newport, Shropshire (approx 14 miles from Stafford, 9 miles from Telford)

See Website for location: http://www.thelambedgmond.co.uk

__________________________________________________
Why the change in location?

Due to the much publicised problems associated with the last inn and the rumours of closure for one week, I didnt want to risk this meet not going ahead.

The Lamb is a suitable alternative short term. We hope to be back at 'The Last' in November.

The Staffs/Shops meets are now on Facebook see:

I agree the fox is superb, but not really a drinkers pub (or car enthusiasts pub). However I was only talking to my wife last night about the summer meeets being held there as the large outside area is immediately next door to the car park. We wont be disturbing the diners that way.

I'm not at the Watford office on Monday, so count me in.

I'll try and convince a colleague to attend also: a 'ring regular with an Audi S3

Well the TVR faternity helped make the numbers up, cheers lads.

Some tasty metal was on show includig Peters Jaguar D-Type(r), Steves Tuscan and my old mans XK120 amongst many other fine cars.

Here are some rather grainy photos from last night, taken with my phone.

The XK120, Caterham and D-Type in the background

The TVR's!

3.8L Straight six Jag Engine with 2.5" Carbs - good for about 240bhp (not bad for a 50s engine)

FFS!!!!!! Forgot. Racing round all day, making sure all your boilers get repaired and didn't even have a pint of cider all evening. Apologies. Not foolish enough to say it'll never happen again. Bernie
