I'm not sure I'd want to put too much strain on the boot hinges. Would anyone like to take a punt as to the maximum load this might accommodate when attached to an S boot lid?

...but only if you have an S1/S2.

The later S3/S4 is different (side-mounted boot release and mounts for gas strut, etc).

They do say with the boot bag thing only to put light luggage in it.
I can't see any difference between that and a luggage rack in term osf strain on the hinges & boot catch, but then again don't shoot the messenger!
