Bit late with this one (a week today to be exact)

But just gotta say respect is due to the Evo co editor for his performance at the Autocar sideways challenge in the GT3 last week.

Not the easiest wagon to hold in a series of nice controlled drifts round the Silverstone complex on a wet track (probably better than his 'blade engined Caterham tho!! ) but he did really well.

Indeed - blokes like Meaden and Barker (et al) are all pretty damn handy wheelmen - so when pouring over their latest review and the talk turns to considerations of the subtelty of this or that aspect of handling, it's probably a sobering thought to realise just how much ability and experience they have.

Lizards excepted, us mortals should partake of a modicum of cap doffing...

Yep, I've seen both race too and they're damn good - didn't Meaden win an FPA race on his first outing a couple of years ago?

Barker was a tad aggressive in the Porsche Club series in that 968CS a few years ago though - but great fun to watch.

And I think Evo carries on where Fast Lane, Performance Car and Suercar Classics (remember that one?) left off - for me easily the best car mag out there

Dickie Meadon did well in the guest / VIP car a few weeks ago in the British Porsche Cup, did he not?

They should be handy given all of the free practice they get shouldn't they?

Yeah that's right. He hasn't mentioned it in Evo yet (got mine today). I wouldn't be able to shut up about it. I'd be banned from my local for sure. I reckon he'd beat me in a go-kart.
