pic sizes

Ted is it possible you can automatically resize (down) pics so we dont get huge pics which

a) make us have to keep scrolling across the page

b) take forever to load on dial up,which is made even worse when its been quoted a few times

What size pics do you think are right, and also what filesize is acceptable?

Possible problem would be when someone (like me) includes a link to a pic on another site, which is bigger in dimensions (I use 800x600 and try to keep each picture to around 40-50k). This may be out of Ted's control.
