Mk3 Golf driver's electric window fault.
Discussion
Trawling about on Ebay last weekend after a couple of glasses of wine, you know what happens....
The following morning find myself the proud owner of a very cheap Mk3 Golf. I've now confessed to the wife and picked it up - its in very nice condition other than an inoperative driver's door electric window - no clicks, no movement - nothing.
So I've some spare time tomorrrow and will investigate - but give me a clue - switch, regulator or motor ?

Could be any of them but check the wiring in the door hinge first!
OK, so the plan today was to spend a few hours and a few quid stripping a motor/regulator out of a Mk3 at the scrappy and then bloodying my knuckles transplanting it into my "new" car - it turns out that this wouldn't have helped anyway. Edited by Mr V on Wednesday 8th October 20:36
Instead of that it took 10 minutes to open up the door hinge wiring boot and reunite the 2 ends of a sad and severed brown wire - sorted !
Mr V - next time you're down in Kent let me know - I owe you a large beer.
