My 348 is here
Discussion
Having wanted a Ferrari as long as I can remember, I have finally made it a reality. I picked my 348 up last Thursday. Sitting at work during the day, the sun was shining and I was looking forward to the drive home. Unfortunately, by collection time, it was pouring with rain!! I was pretty nervous, but the car behaved perfectly. Not the ideal first drive though in the dark and pouring rain.
Luckily, Sunday was a fantastic day, so I thought I would take the car out for a quick drive. 120 miles later, I thought I had better return home
What a fantastic car - it is everything I had hoped for. I love everything about it - it looks stunning, drives brilliantly and what an incredible noise (It has a Quicksilver SuperSport exhaust which sounds amazing)
Hopefully we will get a few more nice weekends this year, although at the moment, I am happy just going out to the garage and looking at it or sitting in it. I am sure my wife thinks I have gone mad!!
Thanks to everyone for your advice leading up to the purchase. Thought you would appreciate a few pictures

Absolutley love that car. My fund is still growing, I will have one..........
Bloody hell Andy, you could have had one about 5 times over if you hadn't bought all them other ones in the meantime!

I know mate I know. Still new house and new baby meant the Fezza has had to wait. The fund is growing though and I will be getting one in the future. I'm eagerly watching as 360's drop like a stone towards my budget!

Whoop whoop! Congrats Gav, know what you mean about the noise - it gets very addictive! How you finding the gear change? Takes some getting used to, but I'm loving it.
Random suggestion, but I'm probably going to book a day in at Castle Combe in the new year (maybe late Feb or March) so I can get to know the car a bit better. Anyone else interested? My brother lives a 5min drive from the track, so I have a certain attachment to it!

I know what you mean about the gear change. You really need to be quite positive with it but it is really satisfying and the noise as it goes through the gate is fabulous. I was advised to use 1st, 3rd & 5th until it warms up, which seems to work really well for me.
Castle Coombe sounds like fun, however, it is about a 900 mile round trip for me so doubtful I could make it.

Yes, high 20s is about right for a nice Spider or GTB/GTS. Mine is going fine thanks, two good trips to Le Mans this year mean that the nose and mirrors are looking distinctly pebble dashed
