I was driving down the M621 early evening, and noticed on the other side of the road (where the current roadworks are) that there were people handing out some sort of flyers or leaflets to the cars.

This was being supervised by the police.

Does anyone have any idea what was being handed out? Personally if having been sat in traffic I found the culprit to be some twunt handing out things I would of promptly hit them on the nose.

A useful traffic survey perhaps about peoples' attitudes to traffic hold ups?

I would like to hand out a leaflet to everyone on A-roads, asking why 90% of them seem incapable of overtaking or driving at more than 45mph, thereby adding an hour to my working day. furious

I got one yesterday - it is a traffic Census
asking where you are coming from and going to and where you managed to park while in Leeds

I just hope they don't publisise the route I use to get from one side of Leeds to the other
as at the moment it is generally pretty quiet outside rush hour

I got pulled over for a traffic census leaving York a few years ago, I'd just had my wisdom teeth out and was in a fair amount of pain, on my way to the parents for some TLC, still made me answer his fecking questions even though I was in tears frown

Possibly because they can't all think of a good excuse at to why they were doing 90mph in a 60mph limit.... hehehehe

Do you have to tell them, can you not tell them to go away?

He wouldn't let me go until I'd answered, I should have just driven off but they were quite intimidating

When they were in Moortown, i got stopped by the grammar school. I said twice i didnt want to fill one in, then he just flung it on the dashboard, said to fill it in when you get a chance and send it off. If i wasn't so nice and there wasn't a police officer stood next to him he'd have been stting paper mache for weeks wink.

They tried to stop me a few weeks ago at Halton. I didn't wind my window down and just glared evily at them and sped off. What are the PCSO's going to do about it? evil
