Earning pocket money from togging...
Discussion
Ok, the stock library route has been done to death on here and I know that's a possibility but is there any other acknowledged path to earning from snapping without going fully pro (or standing on pro toes)?
Deal is I do a part time job that I can't stand but would miss the extra income this brings (not a fortune but enough for the odd holiday and occasional toys etc). Just idly wondering whether I can jettison the job, recycle the time doing something I actually enjoy, and something like match the extra income? Don't wanna give up the day job

i did the sort of thing you're thinking about whist i was at uni. i have a good designer mate who would throw me the odd job and also this regular-ish gig photographing signs (how thrilling!). got that one through the uni. i also sold a few landscape prints, not many mind, probably helped by the fact i had a mate in a lab that would print me stuff for free meaning i could sell them cheap. You can also sell images to magazines if they use them, you can find submission details on websites ect, i won some kit from digital photographer as they put my stuff in a readers gallery-which i promptly sold on ebay!
i think it helps if you know people in industry, other than that just try EVERYTHING!
