My O/H has just washed my old waterproof phone (Samsung something or other) which turns out to be not that waterproof. I now need another waterproof phone.

It needs to be cheap - that's the only criteria as it doesn't get much use and frankly I hate the bloody things.

Had a google and nothing comes up, and haven't got time top trawl through every suppliers website.

Suggestions?

Nice phone, but the key criteria was it must be cheap. It's £250. That is not cheap.

I need one that works in space. You never know when you might need that facility and you'd kick yourself for not thinking ahead biggrin

The Sonim is also sold as the JCB phone.

I've got one for site work, its pretty good, featureless and tough, easy.

I was going to say that I don't use it warrant a contract, but having just checked £20 a month isn't bad.

To those suggesting a waterproof bag, I've tried these in the past and they're too bulky.

I once submerged an N95 in a pint of coke, the flash stuck on and started to burn and crackle. I removed the battery, rinsed with clean water, dried in the airing cupboard and it works fine!

Because typically the only time I need to use a mobile is when I'm either out on my MTB, Walking, or on a Mountain Rescue call out. In the majority of cases the phone is either getting bashed about in the bottom of a rucksack or getting rained or snowed upon. Normal ones I've had in the past haven't lasted very long. Hence the need for a ruggedised one.
