Just bought a new mirror lens for my XKR only to find the plastic mount is broken as well. Dealer wants £110 for a new motor!! is it possible to buy the plastic mount ring any where?

Knowing Jaguar, probably not. You could try www.xkec.co.uk as I know a couple of owners have spare parts. Alternatively NormanD is breaking an XKR so he might have one. He's on here and the XKEC forum.
