F430 Spider £92,500 - (Black) 2005 - 10,600 miles
I know that this particular car has been used in the Gumball rally. What would be a resonable price to offer, for this car, with respect to the current economic climate ?

With all those F430s currently for sale it is a mystery to me why anyone would possible go for a car that has been trashed around Europe - bid low very low. Like 70 grand.

Just to add, it is being sold by a Maranello dealer, rather than privately.

If you know it has been on gumball why do you want it?
Did Maranello tell you it was used on the gumball?

I know it's been on the Gumball, cause i know who the previous owner was. Maranello neglected to tell me that it had been on the Gumball and seem extrmely reluctant to drop below 87.5k. Finally, I want it cause it's VAT qualifying.

I'll bet.

Could you smell Caprice's fanny on the seat?

Bid them 75.000 and let them sweat. I'll bet you that they will come back after the week-end. 87 for for a 2005 car with 10k eurotrash miles still seems high.

Just because its been on the Gumball doesnt necessarily mean its been thrashed to within an inch of its life.

Ok 3000 miles in a week is a lot but I've been on several Ferrari owners trips around Europe where 2500 miles were put on in 10 days.

As long as the car has been properly serviced and in good order then there should be no problem.

That said there are a lot of them on the market at the moment so if you cant get a good deal on that car move onto another.

Thats fair point.

What would be a reasonable offer to make - 75 seems a little unrealistic.

It has many factors as to what would be reasonable, but if you don't ask you don't get ... I would put a post on Club Scuderia to find out any other history ..

Ps do you want me to bid real low ... £69k .. so your offer seems good ?? nuts

Yes I do Euro trips of 2500-3000 miles in a week as well but it is the way these "Gumball" cars are showboated about that would concern me. When you see these rally's on TV/DVD the cars are not treated with any respect what so ever.
So on that basis I'm out..........

Gumball is different than just an ordinary 3k trip in europe!

Most participants can afford to write off there cars on the trip and don't care if they do!

I would bid £73K and walk away. I bet they come back to you when they still have the car a month from now. It's a real buyers market out there.
