I'm a dead man...
Discussion
...I was meant to find a place for breakfast for four nearish Liverpool Street or towards the south bank (Borough Market way) for Saturday morning.
Basic outline: Mates Birthday, his wife, my wife and me are all travelling down tomorrow night, everyone has booked the bits they needed to book except moi.
I'm not looking for massively expensive place, but somewhere that will serve a bottle of fizz to start the day off as we mean to go on.
Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers
David

Ignore that you want breakfast hmmmmm
Roast, definitely. Good food, great atmosphere, and a few pubs nearby for a cheeky pint of decent ale beforehand.http://www.roast-restaurant.com/location.cfm3

London Bridge tube easier than Borough.
s
t...You lot were quick off the mark.
It's a double thumbs up.
I’ll check out all the suggestions.
And if I pick one of the suggested ones I'll let you know how I got on. Like I say, we were looking to get a bottle of fizz served with brunch/breakfast so that's my main aim.
Saying that, my main aim was to have a list of places to look like I’ve done the research in a methodical, conscientious manner...as if.

Thought you couldn't get served alcohol before a certain time in the morning? What about a Nice Hotel, Jury's Inn is nice
you can around Smithfields. they open really early and cater for the night workers at the meat market.once a month we used to go for a Guiness and Full English there

Strada on the South Bank? Not sure if its open, but give it a try.
Thanks for the prompt reply..I found their website. They are open from 10am but are you recommending them because you've had breakfast there?
Cheers
David
There are loads of places in/around Borough market itself, most of which don`t need booking. Just turn up and pick what you fancy, it`s great on a Saturday morning.

i've just taken on the management of the CGMA portfolio in battersea and the honcho did the deal over a pint of lager in one of the onsite bars and it was 6am
.. those sorts of places have strippers in their bars that start at 4am and clock off at 10am! it just works to a totally different timescale

I suppose we could leave the wives outside? I'm sure they'll be fine with that?
