Does anybody know how long it takes to remove the radiator and what sort of a job it is to replace. And also where is the cooling fan switch located?

S1 or S2?

on my s1 elise, it required me to-
remove front clam
remove rad surround
drill out the rivets holding the fan onto the rad
re rivet the fan onto new rad
refit all bits n bobs.

once the clam is off its quite easy to do.

this is mine with the clam off about to swap the rad for a eliseparts one-

Assuming S1:

Rad switch is the Brown sensor in the coolant hose in the Engine.

Removal of radiator and replacement of fan is as quoted above, my car looked a lot like that 2 weeks ago... It will again look like it in about a months time when I strip it all down again for a winter rebuild.

It is an 04 plate exige with the toyota engine if there is any difference. I have the front clam shell off now for access to the radiator, but i am still looking for the fan switch and the location of any relays for the cooling fans. If anyone can please give me any advice i would be very greatful.

they don't have a fan switch as such, it's all ECU controled.

why are you trying to find it?
