E36 325i-- not starting? Help/Advice please??

Rights, It's prob something simple but..... I have an 95' 325i, Im turning it into a ring-shed/track car. Bought it 5-6 weeks ago, drove fine. Its been garaged since, only started and warmed up 3 or 4 times since. last start 7-8 days ago. Wanted to give it a run to warm the oil before doing an oil service but I just got the fast loud "click-click-click-click" noise?

Alarm/immoboliser was not on. Battery seems fine also, connected tightly. I have not fiddled with any wires to my knowledge, tho I have had parts of the dash/glove box/centre consol in and out lately. Im a bit hesitant to take the battery off to check the charge as Ive read something about it wiping the ECU settings? Surely thats Bllsht?? The only other thing I did prior to having this problem was jack up the front and rear of the car to change wheels.

Battery's dead. Try charging it, or jumping it.

Clicking noise is just the solenoid.

Yep, it's the battery. It's probably not extinct though, so an overnight charge should do the trick.

Cheers guys, I was starting to think that also. Will charge tonight and try it. 6 weeks without a decent run is a long time for the Battery. I just read in the manual that BMW advise to disconnect if not using the car for this kind of period.

as for technical stuff its always going to produce better results than PH
