Evening guys,

thought i would post a thread of the impreza story so far.

Bought the car for £2000 back in March from a friend of a friend. I am the third owner, with both previous owners servicing the car religiously. When I bought it, the car was pretty much standard bar 2000 spec alloys and solid whiteline drop links. Even has the standard tape deck, which is still there.

THis was the car

I ran the car as i bought it for 6 months, basically till about 3 weeks ago when i was thinking of selling to purchase a smaller engined vehicle. However the car was due an MOT and Tax, so i decided to add a few bits of second hand parts.

So far, I have added 4 pot callipers from a P1 with grooved discs and fast road pads along with braided hoses to the front.

After that i decided to take the spoiler off as i wanted something different and prefer the mid level spoilers, however i wanted to spend my cash elsewhere. So I then got a set of used struts from another P1 with eibach pro line springs added. Lowered it alot more than i thought.

The car now handles very well indeed, however I still want to delve deeper into the frontend understeer.

After this i added a 97 STI rear box, and have a decat on the way to release a bit of burble.

The interior and engine are standard, although i would like to upgrade the induction setup in some form int he future.

Car has just went through the MOT on Tuesday, where it needed two light bulbs. Not bad for a car that has done 168000 miles. smile

Today i added some subaru mud flaps to complete the exterior.

Some pics... will get a better location in the near future.

Stunning. Not many Imprezas you see as original and well cared for like that, and I've seen a fair few in my day (Subaru mechanic)

Great job!

Not a fan of the de-wing thing (all the boyracer/car molester types down here do it) but other than that its a very nice example indeed. yes

It looks good, has the engine had any work?

Looks good, nice and understated. A nice change from the body kits, big spoilers and decal covered scoobies I see round here. That kinda mileage just goes to show how good reliable a jap turbo car can be, if you don't piss about with the engine! I would be weary of upping the boost on it though..

Looks good smile I really like the de-spoilered look. If I were to get another UK model I'd take the spoiler off, fit an FMIC and the bonnet off a Sport.
