Been trying to contact Tony and Robin all week but the phone has been disconnected, just found out from the Cobra forums the business has closed.

Very sad news, we're probably one of the lucky ones as they only owed us a set of hub caps, I'm sure there are worse off people out there.
Anyone got any contact details of the suppliers???
Rich.

Sign of the times, I reckon.
What I find very disturbing is the alleged COMPLETE disappearance of various cars etc prior to the arrival of the receivers INCUDING the entire Minotaur project......
There certainly seems to be a lack of acceptance of responsibility in business these days.

so you would just let them roll up and take everything you have been working on for the last few years would you????What I find very disturbing is the alleged COMPLETE disappearance of various cars etc prior to the arrival of the receivers INCUDING the entire Minotaur project......

It does seem a bit strange how they think they can get away with it (unless each item has been personally bought from the company at market rate prior to receivers coming in). Surely the new owner (and it does look like there is enough interest in the company for it to be bought) will have something to say about lack of molds, jigs, stock etc.

Its obviously morally wrong to sell your stock at below market value before bankrupcy but is it legally wrong??
Is there a time you must sell stock at market value BEFORE you claim bankruptcy??
Anyway on a lighter note, does anyone know who manufactures the Speedster windscreen frame and the windscreen it the only bit we're struggling to find. We think we can source everything else.

That is indeed a shame, here we go again another disaster for joe public and small businesses to cough up for. 1930s again?
Before people go on about the morals and legalities of the alleged disappearance of any moulds etc maybe they ought to look at the morals and legalities of what is going on in the financial organisations that got the whole world in this mess in the first place.
Just my humble opinion.

All due respect qdos, but I have a small business myself ad you take these things on the chin.
Passing your failing on to other people is a nasty trick.
I 100% agree with you and it's a shame there's not more decent folk out there like yourself Passing your failing on to other people is a nasty trick.
What I'm saying is that the banks themselves have brought us to this state the whole world is in currently and we seem to be bailing them out with billions after billions of hard earned cash. If you or I were to loan people money that clearly could not be paid back the way they had they would put us out of business in a heart beat.

did the minotaur project even belong to Pilgrim as my understanding is that it did not and they were producing it under licence? What I find very disturbing is the alleged COMPLETE disappearance of various cars etc prior to the arrival of the receivers INCUDING the entire Minotaur project......

I also thought the Minotaur was a colaboration type project the Greek guy was at detling a couple of years ago on the Pilgrim stand.
Therefore the IP may not rest with Pilgrim hence its removal.
As always got to get the facts before passing judgement, but this recession is only just starting, many more small businees will go to the wall in 09 than in 08.
Time to buy shares in insolvency companies?
