Yeah, I went to see him live in Blackpool a few years back. Funny, but the jokes were the same as the 1970s stand up video I'd got of him the week before...

He's a nasty little tt, you really shouldn't encourage him by going. Plenty of better comedians to spend your money on.

Do you have anything to back up that claim?

The guy does a lot for charity especially the armed forces. While i was in the Navy, tho i never met him myself a few of the other guys had said while they were in the West Indies anchored off one of the smaller islands the libery boat (boat that takes the sailors ashore for leave) had broken down, preventing people from leaving the ship for some well earned R&R. Jim Davidson pulled up alongside in his personal boat and was ferrying the sailors back and fore so they could have a night out ashore.

No publicity stunt, no cameras present, no newspapers, just a decent bloke doing a favour out of the goodness of his heart. I would say go see him, he isn't the sort of comic you take granny to see granted, but he is hysterical if you don't have your head up your own ar5e.

I agree with the above, see him, he is very funny and very non PC, which is good.

He is a great a supporter of Caister Lifeboat, which is independant of the RNLI, the inshore boat is, or used to be named after him.

Surely he is your sense of humour? It was only a while back you made a joke about curry munchers and paki's on another thread! laugh

Couldn't give a monkey's about his PC or not credentials, the simple fact is, he's about as funny as Les Dennis with a ball gag in place.

He still does stand up redface

I'm shocked. Thought people were fed up of him telling their jokes.

Go and see a real comedian, not someone who doesn't have an ounce of originality in them.

Any need for the personal abuse of another forum member?

His history is there for all to see, as were his antics on Hell Kitchen

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Davidson_(comedia...

Domestic violence, assault on police, bigotry, racism, mocking the disabled and any minority group he dislikes - not with humour but with genuine nastiness.

I always used to like Jim Davidson until I saw him on Hell's Kitchen. He did indeed come across as a nasty little tt. These reality shows, most of which I tend to avoid, appear to show the real person rather than the public persona they'd like you to believe in.

Nigel Benn was another example.

Saw JD in 1974, before he was famous. Abs hilarious to the point of being dangerous.

Gone off him a bit. All the time he was making it, he put out the cheeky cockney image. Now he's a reconstituted Scotsman, claiming his real name is Cameron.

Was supposed to see him at a charity event in Derby a few years ago.

He turned up drunk, looked around the room and left.............
