O/T, Has anyone been to the Magny Cours GP?

Our group have decided not to do Le Mans next year due to various reason so we are planning a 2000 mile hoon around France for the week after LM, it has been noted that the French GP at Magny Cours is fixed for the 28th June and would only mean a slight detour to take this in while on way way back home!
Questions are;
Can anyone offer any advice on how good or bad it is?
Can tickets be bought easily?
Any other information?

You can cut out the middle men and buy tickets direct from the FFSA. I imagine that they will go on sale in the New Year.

Access is good, but you will either need to camp, or travel in as hotels will be full. It is easier to approach from the south as most people drive down from the north.

Have been several times although not since about 2003, IMHO it's an excellent GP to go to and probably the cheapest. Viewing is good, from most grandstands you can see about 30% of the track. You can buy tickets direct, http://www.gpfrancef1.com, I'd recommend grandstands E & F at the end of the S/F straight as you get a good view of the grid going into the first corner. Currently Grandstand F is just under £200 for the three days. Prices used to increase about November and March but only by about 10-15%.
Camping is in Parking Est (by Adelaide hairpin), you're supposed to pay an extra few quid for a camping pass but most people just buy the parking ticket and camp anyway. There is plenty of room, you won't have to worry about getting a pitch but obviously the later you arrive the further from the circuit you'll end up. Toilets were a big problem, not enough, hence the portaloos overflowed and the queues for the toilet blocks were horrendous.
Like Le Mans, Don't expect much sleep, the atmosphere is fantastic, lots of fireworks, music etc. but also engines...not in cars, the continentals just take engines & rev the nuts off them all night, chainsaw engines are particularly popular but have also seen the odd V8. Queues to leave are a nightmare, either run for the car as soon as the chequered flag drops or wait a few hours.
